Special Guest

The summer solstice means its the longest day of the year, and there’s no better way to spend the extra sunshine than at The Shepherd’s Center. Today we had a special guest, the man, the myth, the legend, Elvis Presley came by to wish one of our regulars a happy birthday! Today Vance turned 90, if you haven’t met Vance, he’s a retired veteran who comes every Tuesday to our Acoustic Jam Sessions at 10 am (everyone is welcomed to join). You may have also seen Vance this last Saturday at the Elder Abuse Awareness Walk where he sang the National Anthem. We love all of our program participants and service recipients, so we hope you’ll stop by and join the family! Just don’t expect Elvis every time, he’s officially left the building.
